Another era ended...

This is the biginning of MY rants, raves, opinions, etc...

For those of you that DON'T know, Nightwing is who Robin - The Boy Wonder - grew up to be when he left Batman's side...

This past weekend, and end of an era took place. SFC John Waldman, a man that has been a 2nd Dad at times after Mom died, retired from my National Guard unit after 30+ years of service. He is a Vietnam Veteran (Lightning Strawberry!) and the ONLY time I saw him shaken was at a VVA service at Elmwood Cemetery in BHM when a vehicle backfired that reminded him of mortar rounds. It was because of him and Kyle Chambers that I had joined as associate member of the VVA. They, along with others, took care of me in my early days of military service. I know that right now, I could call on ANY of that crew and they would do what they could to help me out. Thanks for everything Dad! And this Hefeweizen is for YOU!!!
